Vanity Fair is an excellent magazine: chock full of lovely photographs, inspiring and enlightening articles and plenty of glossy advertisements. An old roommate of mine got a gift subscription from her now husband and I think I may have enjoyed the gift more than she did. I'd sit down with a cup of coffee and flip through it, drinking in every bit of shiny goodness. One tiny, reoccurring feature was called "Vanities" and it always featured an up and coming actress in a fun, retro, pin up girl photograph. I loved it. Not only because it was interesting to read a little bit about a fresh face but because I've always enjoyed a tastefully done pin up portrait. They're just so girly and sweet, but still saucy. Here are some of my favorites.
