I've always loved library ladders. You know, the kind on a track that you can hop on and with one good push you're circling a huge room full of books and singing about being in love? Of course I adore them. But. What I didn't realize is that I love library ladders even more in rooms that aren't huge and full of books. Rooms like closets and pantries and bathrooms. So many old houses have huge ceilings and since we seem to be acquiring more and more stuff, it seems silly not to fill that open space with storage (albeit beautifully organized and attractive storage). But the question is always, how do I get up there so I can remember that I have a punch bowl in the first place? The answer is obviously to install a whimsical and indulgent library ladder. What a good idea.

Love this!! Although over here, it would just be a jungle gym and instead of being hip/cool with my decorating I would be a nervous nilly. BUT :) When they get out of this toddler/climb-y stage...I love it. I just can't decide which I want?
ReplyDeleteHa! Leah... I didn't even think about that. These ladders are more of a single lady design idea aren't they? Even husbands would make me nervous :)

ReplyDeletejust stumbled across your blog through a comment you made on magpie paperworks and i love what you have going on here. your banner is adorable! also, these ladders are brilliant. my husband would beg for one if we have bookshelves (unfortunately, he's in seminary and we have a LOT of books, but haven't found shelves that we love yet).
ReplyDeleteHello Viv! YOU have a lovely blog and a lovely banner (but thanks for your kind words). I can see why your husband would want one of these ladders—don't we all? Glad to have you stop by, stick around awhile won't you? :)
